Two levels of membership
1
Members with a formal voting right to influence the policies of Inclusion Europe.
These are representative organisations OF people with intellectual disabilities and/or their families: the full national members and the self-advocacy members.

Members who benefit from Inclusion Europe’s services.
This includes all organisations who benefit from the work of Inclusion Europe without having a formal voting right: the local/regional members and the affiliate members.
How to apply for membership
Step by step how of how to apply for the membership in Inclusion Europe.

Contact us via our email. We will send you an application form. Complete the membership application form (please note that there is an easy-to-understand form for self-advocate members).

Send the form with the necessary additional documents to Inclusion Europe.

Our Membership Committee will review the membership application and recommend your organisation for membership to our General Assembly.

Following a positive decision of the Membership Committee, applicants are treated as members without being asked to pay a fee.

The General Assembly of Inclusion Europe meets once per year in April/May. It will formally decide about new membership applications. Following the decision of the General Assembly, applicants are effective members of their specific category and will be asked to pay the agreed fee.

Member organisations
20 of them form EPSA · they are represented by the Board
Members of Inclusion Europe are national, self-advocacy and regional organisations, representing people with intellectual disabilities and their families.

European Platform of Self-Advocates
Made of member organisations · led by the Steering Group · appoints 3 board members
EPSA is a platform of national self-advocacy organisations. 20 Inclusion Europe members from 18 countries belong to it.

Steering Group
Elected once a year by the members of EPSA
A group of self-advocates that lead EPSA. Its members are elected at EPSA’s General Meeting, where all members of EPSA come together and decide on important issues.

Board
3 seats appointed by EPSA · represents all members · leads the staff
The Board represents the interests of Inclusion Europe’s members and leads the work of the organisation. It is composed, as a minimum, of 3 self-advocates, 3 family members of people with intellectual disabilities, and other advocates.

Staff
Carries out the work under the Board
The team doing most of the day-to-day work. We do advocacy at European level and make sure the interests of our members are reflected in EU policy — promoting disability rights, talking to other organisations, writing reports, and taking care of finances.
