We work at the European level to make sure the views and expectations of people with intellectual disabilities and their families are taken into account in European policy-making.
Advocacy and participation
Ensuring self-advocates and family members talk directly with decision-makers to express their views and expectations on European policies.
Self-advocacy
We support people with intellectual disabilities to tell their views and experiences to influence European policy-making. European Platform of Self-Advocates brings together self-advocacy organisations and groups from around Europe.
EPSA
European Platform of Self-Advocates brings togetherself–advocates from different countriesto work together and to have a say aboutEuropean issues. EPSA is part of Inclusion Europe since 2000.
Europe in Action
Europe in Action conference is where people with intellectual disabilities, family member and professionals come together to learn from one another and to share their work. The next Europe in Action will be our 22nd, and will take place in 2028.
Hear our Voices
Hear Our Voices! are self-advocacy events organised by the European Platform of Self-Advocates to bring people with intellectual disabilities together for their rights, in person and online. The next in-person Hear Our Voices! is in 2027.
Europe for Us
Europe for Us easy-to-read magazine brings news about self-advocates in many different languages. Europe for Us is published since 2001.

Partnerships
We collaborate in different partnerships: Inclusion International, where we represent the Region Europe. European Disability Forum,, EEG – European expert group on transition from institutional to community-based care, European coalition to end violence against women and girls, Alliance for investing in children, FAIB.
European Union
We work with the European Ciommission, European Parliament and other EU bodies to ensure full rights and inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities and their families. We are members of the European Commission’s Disability Platform.
We are co-funded by the European Union.
Council of Europe
We advocate for full rights and inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities and their families in the work of the Council of Europe. We are members of the Conference of International NGOs.
We lodged complaints against countries’ mistreatment of people with intellectual disabilities, based on the European Social Charter.
