10 countries joined the EU 20 years ago. What has changed for people with intellectual disabilities and their families in that time?

On 1 May 2004, 10 countries joined the EU. It was the biggest number of countries to join the EU at the same time.

The countries that joined the EU in 2004 are:

  3. Estonia
  4. Hungary
  5. Latvia
  6. Lithuania
  7. Malta
  8. Poland
  9. Slovakia
  10. Slovenia
