3 days of sharing and learning for the future of inclusion in Europe
Europe in Action takes place in Vicenza, Italy from 25 to 27 May 2026

This is the 21st Europe in Action conference.
This is the 21st Europe in Action conference. And the second time it comes to Italy, hosted by Anffas.
Family members, self-advocates, and professionals come together to exchange ideas, learn from each other, and recharge as we work for full rights and inclusion.
500 participants. One shared purpose.
What does it mean to truly support someone to live the life they want?
This conference explores what good, person-centred support looks like: support built around individual preferences, expectations, and life situations. Not “one size fits all”.
We will discuss the issues people with intellectual disabilities and their families face every day: the right to decide, access to housing and services, education, employment, and participation in community life.
We will learn from the work being done in Italy and across Europe.
We will hear about examples of projects and services, and discuss how we can all work better in our communities and across country borders – Together for Inclusion.

“Europe in Action is great for getting ideas, sharing, connecting with people.” – Jyrki Pinomaa, president of Inclusion Europe
The conference includes sessions aimed at developing our Inclusion movement:
- Plenary sessions bringing everyone together to talk about the main topics.
- Workshops based on examples of work in different countries, with room for all participants to join in and talk about what they want to share or learn.
- Sessions designed to formulate what we learned and what we want to share with the world after the conference.

About Europe in Action conferences
Europe in Action brings together hundreds of people with intellectual disabilities, their families, activists, and professionals from across Europe.
We share what we know.
We learn from each other.
We make connections that help us do better work back home.

The aim of Europe in Action is to showcase the work being done for the inclusion of people with intellectual disabilities across Europe.
The conference is also an opportunity to help people and organisations in the inclusion movement gain and develop skills and experiences to ensure more effective advocacy.
Participants discuss issues important to them and share experiences and ideas to advance inclusion. There are many opportunities to discuss and learn about the work being done in different countries.
The conferences are organised by our members together with Inclusion Europe.
