European Platform of Self-advocates (EPSA) brings together self-advocates from different countries to work together and to have a say about European issues.

Who are self-advocates and what do they do?

EPSA makes sure Inclusion Europe is inclusive organisation
Inclusivity

EPSA helps make sure self-advocates have a strong voice in Inclusion Europe’s work and decisions.

The European Platform of Self-Advocates appoints at least 3 Board members of Inclusion Europe.

The Chair of the European Platform is also the Vice-President of Inclusion Europe.

EPSA gives Inclusion Europe feedback on how well self-advocates are represented and included.

European Platform of Self-advocates is made of organizations and groups of self-advocates which are members of Inclusion Europe

The European Platform of Self-Advocates exists since 2000.

“EPSA” is sometimes used as a short name of the European Platform of Self-Advocates.

Steering group

Steering Group leads the work of EPSA. The Steering Group are self-advocates elected by EPSA to lead the work of the European Platform of Self-Advocates.

The first president of EPSA was Ulla Topi. We named our traineeships in her honour.

Magazine

Europe for Us is easy-to-read magazine that informs about self-advocates and about work for full rights and inclusion in Europe. Europe for Us is published 4 times per year in different languages.

EPSA organises conferences by self-advocates for self-advocates called Hear our Voices!

Join EPSA!

Self-advocacy organisations in Europe can become members of EPSA.

EPSA members also become members of Inclusion Europe.

As EPSA member, you can:

  • Speak about the work you do on a European level
  • Share information and experiences with self-advocacy organisations in other countries in Europe
  • Get support for your work
  • Tell people what is important to your organisation
