Inclusion Europe is organising a training for people with intellectual disabilities who want to learn how to advocate for their rights at European level.

This training is for newcomers - You do not need any experience in European work. If you are curious, motivated, and want to make a difference, this is for you.

Training in self-advocacy

The training is 4 days of learning and practice.

You meet other self-advocates from across Europe.

You work together learning skills to advocate for your rights.

You learn by doing (not just listening).

You learn:

  • What advocacy means.
  • What your rights are under the CRPD and the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights.
  • How to tell your story to create change.
  • How to speak confidently in public.
  • How to use media for your cause.
  • How to meet and talk with politicians.

By the end of the training, you will have your own advocacy action plan.
