People with intellectual disabilities are part of the national cross-disability organisation, and there is a person with an intellectual disability on the board/ council. Info-Handicap receives government funding for advocacy work.

It is a great concern for parents and families of children and adults with intellectual disabilities to find an answer to the question: where can my child live if I can no longer look after him, and where is he best looked after, according to his needs. A home, a place to live, to live and to feel comfortable, is an important right for everyone to be integrated into society.
